Enjoy seven days and six nights of reflection, education, and creative
production at Headlands, a nine-building campus situated in a
eucalyptus wood with an ocean view. Workshop participants partake in a
robust artist residency experience, balancing retreat, creative
inquiry, collaboration, and time for solitary creative practice.

Live-Out Option
For participants with local accommodations, the live-out option
includes full participation in the following:

  • collaborative workshop activities
  • guest speaker colloquiums
  • one locally-sourced organic meal per day in Headlands’ Mess Hall
  • option to buy into additional meals

Live-In Option
Participants may opt to stay on Headlands’ campus for the full Artist
in Residence experience. In addition to full participation in
collaborative workshop activities and guest speaker colloquiums,
live-in amenities include the following:

  • access to studio space
  • a private room in former officer’s quarters
  • three locally-sourced organic meals per day in Headlands’ Mess Hall
